Pirates, Mexicans, and Musical Madness…

Last month my dear friends, Peerless Pirates had their first official music video for their single ‘El Gringo’  filmed and directed by the very talented Jordan Grant. I was a lucky sausage and had the opportunity to take part as an extra – flailing about in the background. It was a hell of a lot of fun. Mexican food, booze and dancing… A fantastic way to spend a Monday.

It was filmed at Pachangas Mexican Restaurant in Henley. The restaurant and staff were beyond amazing, keeping us all full of food and tanked up on Sangria; as well as taking part in all of the mischief and adding to the atmosphere. The song has a spaghetti western feel to it, which is heavily included throughout the video. The song was actually written about various nights out spent in Pachangas (when it was originally based in Marlow); so it goes without saying that the setting had to actually be at Pachangas itself.

Here are some snaps captured during the day of filming…. (© Gerry Bishop and Sarah Crehan 2014)

Please feel free to watch and share the video around! If the song tickles your fancy, you can buy it directly from iTunes and Amazon. You can listen to it on Spotify, Soundcloud and Reverbnation; and you can keep up to date with what they’re getting up to on Facebook and Twitter – including all of their gig dates and various other piratical goings on…

Of course, you can visit their direct website, where you can purchase loads of cool stuff. Like CD’s and T-Shirts etc. Or you can have a chat with them in person at one of their future gigs. They don’t bite.

Keep an eye on these guys, because next year is going to be absolute madness…
Until next time,

Aruba x
